A TRUCKER'S LIFE - Country Capital News - March 2005

DALE DUNCAN is excited and jumping out of his skin - And he should be! He has just locked in a week in April 2005 to record his debut ten track album A Trucker's Life, on which Dale wrote or co-wrote all of the tracks. Dale will be heading to Top Cat Studio's, Alstonville NSW with his popular band SANTA FE. Dale said "The project came about by playing recently at the Tamworth Truck Drivers Memorial." Dale has been a local favourite with the Tamworth Truck Drivers Association, and at this year's Tamworth Truck Drivers Memorial, played one of his original songs Guardian Angel, and 400 people who attended the memorial gave the song the thumbs up.

"There was an over whelming response from the audience who wanted to by a CD with that song on it - and I didn't have one," he said. Dale was then approached by the Memorial Co-ordinator and President of the Tamworth Truck Drivers Association Mr Rick Lay and they had conversations about an album that could be dedicated to the Truck Driver Industry and Dale jumped at the opportunity.

The ten track album will be titled A Trucker's Life and all proceeds from the sales of the album will go back into the Tamworth Truck Drivers Memorial to help those truckie families who have lost loved ones during their duties on the road. Popular singer/songwriter Col Finley will be making a special trip down to Tamworth to catch up with Dale so they can sit down and write another couple of song for the album. For the last three years Dale has been the front man for one of New South Wales top country/rock band Santa Fe as well as concentrating on his band Route 66 and his solo career. Dale said " I'm pretty excited about the album and things are going great - we have already got 600 copies on back order and we haven't even released it yet."
